Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy – formerly known as Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy, or St. Angela’s School, St. Gregory’s School, etc … – is seeking substitute teachers for the 2014-2015 school year for Preschool (2.9) through Grade 8.

Registration is still ongoing for Parish Religious Education for First Communion & for Confirmation.
Classes begin in September 2014.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION & CONFIRMATION PROGRAM
• Opening schedule is for Sunday, September 28, 2014,
at 9:00 a.m. for First Communion Program, and
at 12:30 p.m. for the Confirmation Program
at the Pope John Paul Mattapan campus on Babson Street, Mattapan.
• Registration for all religious education students from Kindergarten to 8th grade and registration for all incoming 9th and 10th grade students for the Confirmation program are ongoing. Confirmation students should be baptized and had received their First Communion. An interview time for all Confirmation students’ parents will be sent out once your registration is received.

Volunteers are needed for both Communion and Confirmation Programs. Training will be provided.

Where: St. Matthew’s Church Hall, Dorchester – Entrance from Church Parking lot
For those of you who are not aware, I just wanted to inform you that on Sunday December 22, 2013 the youth of St. Matthew’s and St. Angela’s Church along with a couple of other youths will be coming together for St. Matthew’s Annual Youth Christmas Show. Our show will be held in the church hall at 4pm.

We have a great night scheduled that includes, singing, dancing, poetry, fashion show and nativity play and so much more. Our guests will have the opportunity to possibly leave with a couple of gifts if they choose to participate in the raffles. They will be sold throughout the night for a dollar ($1). We will also be selling snacks, beverages and goodies also. We would love for everyone to come out and join us on Sunday night to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!
