Rev. Fr. Vincent E. Daily To Be Our New Pastor

Msgr. Felix Ojimba announces at Mass on Sunday that Rev. Fr. Vincent E. Daily will be our new Pastor for our Tri-Parish Family: St. Angela’s/St. Gregory’s/St. Matthew’s Parish Family; more precisely our Tri-Parish Collaborative. Last September (2014) and in accord with the implementation of Phase III of Disciples in Mission, Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley, OFM Cap., accepted the resignations of both Rev. William P. Joy and Rev. Kujenga Summer Retreat Showcase

In gratitude and appreciation to the parents who send their children to the 2014 Kujenga Summer Retreat and to parishioners who contributed with their financial support and prayers to the annual retreat, St. Angela’s hosted last September her first Kujenga-Viongozi Retreat Showcase on Saturday 6 September to Sunday 7 September 2014 at St. Angela’s church in Mattapan. Without their contribution and support, our parishes youths participation may not have been possible. The annual Kujenga Catholic Leadership Youth Retreat is organized and sponsored collaboratively with the Archdiocese of Hartford/Connecticut, the Archdiocese of Boston/Massachusetts, the Diocese of Providence/Road Island and the Diocese of Fall River/Massachusetts. Last month, Mrs. Josette...

Our pastor wrote:   October 18, 2014 My Dear Parishioners of St. Angela and St. Matthew Parishes: As you are aware in 2015 our two parishes will form a working collaborative with St. Gregory Parish as part of the Archdiocese’s Partners in Mission Initiative. This process will begin with a joint meeting of the three parishes’ Pastoral Councils, Finance Committees, staffs and staff from the Archdiocese on October 22. This is an exciting time of change and renewal throughout the Archdiocese. This program will enable the Archdiocese and its parishes to prepare for the complex and...
