We are happy to wish Echo Des Jeunes Parish youth group of St Angela a blessed fourth anniversary.

Echo Des Jeunes is one of the youth groups of St. Angela’s Parish that ministers to youth from twelve-years old and up. In addition to numerous pastoral, liturgical, social and cultural activities, the group prepares and sings as our youth choir at the Sundays Afternoon Mass every fourth Sunday of the month, and also at weddings and funerals Masses.

The Divine Mercy Novena of Chaplets.

A novena is typically nine days of prayer in preparation of a celebration of a feast day. At the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy Novena is recited perpetually at the Hour of Great Mercy — the three o’clock hour.

The different souls prayed for on each day of the novena are:

1. DAY 1  (Good Friday) – All mankind, especially sinners
2. DAY 2  (Holy Saturday) – The souls of priests and religious
3. DAY 3  (Easter Sunday) – All devout and faithful souls
4. DAY 4  (Easter Monday) – Those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him
5. DAY 5  (Easter Tuesday) – The souls of separated brethren
6. DAY 6  (Easter Wednesday) – The meek and humble souls and the souls of children
7. DAY 7  (Easter Thursday) – The souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus’ mercy
8. DAY 8  (Easter Friday) – The souls who are detained in purgatory;
9. DAY 9  (Easter Saturday) – The souls who have become lukewarm.

 During the Solemn Novena leading to Divine Mercy Sunday,  the Chaplet of Divine Mercy should be offered each day for the day’s intentions.

13th Annual Haitian-American Unity Parade on Sunday 19 May 2013 starting 1PM. Mattapan Square and proceeding straight on Blue Hill Avenue to Talbot Avenue around Harembee Park (Franklin Field).  In Celebration and recognition of Haitian Heritage Month 2013.

Streets on the parade route will be closed, and parking ban on Blue Hill Avenue.
